Sunday Times review says  " Compellingly readable...remarkable biography". Entirely agree. Presents a picture of a concerned leader of his fleet men, and the lonely struggle to maintain the U boat offensive against the allies increasing technological success. Interesting for the "other side" of the enigma issue - makes clear the Germans' suspicions, but their final conviction their communications were secure.

Good second-hand copy, with some rounding of the edges from age, and some creasing tothe spine and cover, consistent with the use this very readable book has had. The photographs and all pages are there, and the binding is tight..
